James Nachtwey
James Nachtwey is one of the most influential photojournalists and war photographers of the late 20th century.
He is one of the sole reasons I chose documentary photography and still aim to shoot images with the same passion he does, even today.
James is a co-founder of the exclusive VII Photo Agency and has won countless awards for the work he has done during his career. Among the numerous awards he has been honoured with with the World Press Photo Award (twice), Robert Capa Gold Medal (five times), Magazine Photographer of the Year (eight times) and the Heinz Foundation Award for Art and Humanities.
Myself and Gregoire Glachant interviewed him recently and that interview can be found here
