One of the things I was keen to try out with this Canon G9, was the ability for the sensor to handle complex scenes. In this situation, there was a heavy mist coming in, and different shades of contrast on the ground.
The camera did ok, a fair amount of work had to be done in post, just to make sure the levels were correct, but at least the sky wasn’t blown out, like most digi cams do.
