One of the best ice-breakers I’ve found with groups who don’t necessarily speak your language is giving them a small point and shoot to play with. Usually the adults go with the cigarette option, but often I find that kids love taking snaps of each other and it helps them get used to the camera.
In this case, the G9 was left with them for the weekend and I’ve ended up with some pretty unique shots of how kids see their life. Trying to work out what I’ll do with them in context of this project.
