I’m cautious about shooting African scenes in Black and White these days, feel it’s the defacto approach taken by us whiteys when we hit this vast continent.
That doesn’t mean I’ll never do it, some images just work better in monotone, this one as an example.
What really pisses me off is when photographers cannot fucking expose properly for darker skin and you end up with this mess of black. Seriously would you like it if someone made you look like a snow storm?
