Good bye

Tomorrow morning I say good bye to Durban, friends and family. I’ve really enjoyed being back in SA but it’s time for me to head back to London to be with my family, seeing as I’ve only seen my wife twice in eight months.

I’ll be returning, I don’t think I’ll ever stay away from this place, but for now it’s adios Afrique du sud and aawwwwight Laaandan!

Difficulty Breathing

ER24 AMS tend to a patient with breathing difficulties during the Midmar Mile in KwaZulu-Natal.

The more time I’ve been allowed to spend with the ER24 team, the more I’ve come to realise that many do this job out of a love of helping others.
I really struggled with this at first, we seem to be in period of time where greed and consumption is now second nature. Nobody seems to do anything for free anymore, it’s all money money money.

Seeing the level of dedication present when with the team is, in a cheesy cliched way, inspiring.
